Was born in 1947 in Wyong while my parents were living in tents along the railway line,
The old saying of being born in a tent resonates with me. I have been painting for over 10 years having gained an interest due to an older cousin’s work. While at school I was known as a “good drawer” by copying the popular cartoonists of the time. I took lessons with a passionate teacher/artist, Linda Simonis who herself had been a student of some of my idols. The inspiration for my work is my appreciation of the natural beauty and diversity of our landscape from my extensive travels within Australia. Since retirement I have taken more of an interest in art and recently joined Parramatta Art Society. |
